Look Out For These High Value Areas
Structure
Foundation Cracks
Look for wide cracks in brick, the foundation, and interior cracks above doors and windows.
Uneven Floors
Sloping, bouncing, or soft spots can indicate settlement, rotten subfloor, and possible foundation problems.
Roofing & Exterior
General Condition
Keep an eye out for missing/old shingles, brittle or damaged edges, gaps, and other areas water/pests can get in.
Grading & Drainage
Low spots, damp areas, and stains are signs that water is pooling near your home’s foundation.
Plumbing
Water Pressure & Drainage
Run faucets and flush toilets—low pressure or slow drains may signal plumbing issues.
Water Stains & Leaks
Check ceilings, walls, and under sinks for stains or signs of past/future leaks.
